I have finally been able to make my card for the Twilight Tuesday Sketch Challenge #14.

I’m really excited to do this challenge so let’s take a look:

Here is Dani’s sketch.

It’s a cute sketch, huh?

Thanks for making it Dani!

Here is my card. I’m very excited about this card. The designer paper I’ve used is from BoBunny’s fall 2009 line and it is scrumptious!!! Take a look at this line, Love Bandit. You are truly going to love it! Since leaving Stampin’ Up!, this is my “go to” line of paper. I adore it!!!

I used Flamingo and Strawberry Double Dot heavy weight paper. BoBunny’s “heavy weight paper” is basically card stock. It’s nice. Now, personally, I like my card bases to use a slightly heavier weight card stock and this is where the ultra fab PaperTrey Ink comes in. I simply make my design, and then adhere it to a PTI base. However, this is purely a personal choice.

I’ll tell ya what. That Donna sure can change a girl’s life. I’m totally married to my heat tool for embossing my sentiments now. I’m not so sure how well you can see the embossing in this picture, but it’s there. The trick for me, was using Versafine Onyx ink. That was the total difference. Thank you, Donna!!

The sentiment is from Just Rite Stampers. I like these stamps and am trying them out a bit to see if I’m interested in carrying them in my store.

The crystal bling is from Close to My Heart. The butterflies are from Sizzix via Stampin’ Up!.

Beautiful paper stampers. You really need to try this stuff!

I made a simple 4×4” card for this challenge. I used Copics to color my Edward image.

Of course I had to use Shimmerz to make Edward sparkle:

ttccgf 001

I used Angel Wings Shimmerz for Edward’s face. He was stamped on SU! Shimmery White paper so there is plenty of sparkle on this card.

ttccgf 002

I also used Coal Shimmerz to color the stripes in Edward’s pants…cause he’s cool.

Make sure to visit everyone’s blogs to see what they’ve come up with!

I get to share my project with you today! I made a 6×6” layout to be used when the future Breaking Dawn movie is released.

I colored the image with my Copics. The paper came from my friends Eve, and Julie.

I thought I’d show you the different levels in this layout.

The pawn and “romantic” are both popped up with dimensionals.

Tomorrow, I will be sitting out of the normally scheduled Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge. Instead, later in the week I’ll be bringing you a very special blog post on TTIC that will positively WOW you!

Coming up, black ink on Stampin’ Up! Whisper White paper…

Ok, back to our regularly scheduled program. This week, our challenge was issued by the super-fantastic Jacquie! Jacquie has decided to challenge us to explore Renesemee Cullen:

Today’s challenge is taken from Breaking Dawn, we learn that Bella is pregnant and she makes it through the birth and we meet her and Edward’s baby, Renesmee or “Nessie” as she is called by Jacob. She is amazingly talented, gorgeous and immediately becomes the focus of ALL the main characters in an individual way.

Renesmee is half vampire/ half human, she has the gift of being able to transmit her thoughts through her touch. She grows fast and as we find out later in the book she will stop growing at 15 and she is immortal. We learn that Jacob has imprinted on her also. She shimmers in the sun, has her mother’s brown eyes, Charlie’s curly hair, likes blood over food, she learns at an amazingly fast pace and easily wins over anyone that comes near her. I love how she is so charismatic, I love her character!

“She’s like nothing else in the world,” he told me… Bella Swan Breaking Dawn pg. 428

“The stranger-child in Rosalie’s arms had to be weeks, if not months, old…Her shiny bronze-colored hair fell in ringlets past her shoulders. Her chocolate brown eyes examined me with an interest that was not at all childlike: it was adult, aware and intelligent”….Bella Swan Breaking Dawn pg. 438

Challenge Portion: There are so many options for this challenge, you can focus on the relationship between Renesmee and Bella, Edward, Jacob, Charlie, Rosalie, Aro. You can think of her powers, or just her looks. Anything goes!!

Comment Portion: She has so much power over everyone right away, is there anything or anyone that has pulled you in so swiftly, a friend, a spouse? Do you know a sweet little girl like Nessie without the being half vampire of course . Tell us a little about it!

So. Renesmee. I’ve decided to go with a congratulatory baby card and photo album I made:

I don’t have an apostrophe so please forgive the spelling error! Maybe Rosalie dug this up to give to Bella. She was the most excited after all!

stampvamp baby 2

I made this photo album brag book using Corinne Somerville’s Clear Envelope Brag Book tutorial. I absolutely love this tutorial. It makes a fast, cute gift.

And as always, our Design Team has fantastic projects to display for this week’s challenge – please go and check them out!

TTIC #33: Favorite New Moon Quote

My bestie Beth issued the awesome challenge for this week’s Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge #33: Favorite New Moon Quote:

I love quotes that capture a moment – just a sentence or two that stick out and remain in your memory forever. My challenge is to choose one from New Moon (that is a challenge in and of itself ~ choosing just one) that sticks with you. One of my favorite quotes in the whole series is from Jake, of course, and since I have used it already, I will ‘challenge’ myself to find another.  But as Challenge Mistress, I will wield my considerable power and share it anyway – even if it is a little long.

Craft Portion: Create a project that captures the moment and complements the quote you’ve chosen.

Comment Portion: Explain why your quote is memorable to you and what about it ‘grabbed’ you initially.

Check out our Twilight Tuesday Design Team creations:

This week I’m recycling because (as you well know by now!) I’m finishing up the storefront for my new Stamp Happens shop. It’s been a massive undertaking but I think I am finally coming to a close with that project! Well, at least closure with creating it.

Actually, I could totally do this challenge over and over and over. I have an idea that I’d like to do for it and maybe if the next week slows down, I might! But on with the fun:

stamphappens christmas 017

I originally made this project for TTIC #12: Inspiration from Twilight Quotes. The quote is memorable because it sums up the loss of Edward so well. I think anyone who has lost an Edward in their life totally understands this idea.

Next week, I should be returning to my crafting projects. I have a lot of new ideas and product reviews to share with you and I’m really excited. I have one particular product that I believe is going to totally rock your socks. There are tons of cool things on the horizons my friends! If you didn’t see yesterday’s post requesting your input on my store, please visit it and help me out!

TTIC #32: The Great Northwest

Twilight Tuesday!!! WHOO HOO!!!  This week’s challenge has been issued by the divine Eve!!!

washington_ref_20011

The challenge for this week’s Tuesday is “The Great Northwest.” If you have ever lived there you know what I mean. Maybe if you have only visited there you know what I mean. Maybe if you only heard about the filming of the movie you know what I mean. It is beautiful there. There is a reason for it’s beauty….all the rain!

washington-state-main1

So from the space needle to the forests. From the rain to the trees. From the lush green beauty of it all to the Olympic Peninsula. There are so many reasons to LOVE the great Northwest. Edward’s family chooses to live there. Bella feels she has to live there, and hated visiting as a child. Don’t forget the trips to Seattle, the coast, and into the forest. Have fun with this one!

Comment portion: If you could visit anywhere in the Northwest – where would it be and why?

Be sure to visit the other Design Team member and see what they’ve made this week!

Special Note: Our beloved Julie will be taking a break this week. There has been a significant death in her family and she will be occupied with the funeral, etc. Our condolences to Julie and her family!!!

Ok, I’ve made a rather strange looking project. Ready?

ttic32 001

What is it, right???

Well, this, my friends is an embellishment. It’s a 4×4” carded image expressing what I think of when I think of The Great Northwest.

I’ve attached a Twilight button which features that awesome mountain, forest overlook scene from Twilight.

I’ve also attached four tile pendants I bought many months ago from someone on Etsy. (BTW, Jen’s pendants in her Etsy store are the bomb. I highly recommend them!!!)

ttic32 002

Here are the tiles.

I attached them with a rope looking tie.

I thought it looked a little rustic.

ttic32 004

Here is a close up of the bear and raccoon surrounded by the forest (Trees, Unity Stamp Co., Bear and raccoon from the Under the Stars set from Stampin’ Up!).

I used my SWMs to color the animals and Always Artichoke to stamp the trees. The layer are AA and Chocolate Chip.

So what is this embellishment for? Well…

Comment Portion: If you could visit anywhere in the Northwest, where would it be and why?

This is so ironic that Eve chose this theme. This weekend, I found out that I will be accompanying my husband to a conference in Seattle at the end of July! So I definitely choose Seattle and Forks for the place I’d visit! I’m so excited!! I’ll definitely be visiting Forks, La Push, and Port Angeles. I am also hoping to visit St. Helens and other places where Twilight the movie was filmed. So if any of you Twihards are in the area, let’s meet up!!! Last week of July!! Who’s in??

So the embellishment is being saved for a scrapbook I plan to make after I visit The Great Northwest!
