I’m back with another shining super star—Ariel! Ariel made me this wonderful Team Jacob card with her Otherworldly Love set. I’m not sure where she got the wolf but I think it might be SU! I love how she mixed the designer paper and the watermarked background. Ariel, thank you!! You absolutely ROCK!!!!

I made this card using the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge 118. I wasn’t sure if it was going to turn out the way I wanted, but it did!! I’m so excited over this card and plan to do several more like them or very similarly.
I used the Starstruck stamp set from Verve (which just happens to be on sale!) to make this card. I absolutely adore the sentiments and images in the set. My card is standard A2 (4.25 x 5.5”) size. I used PTI white as my base. I also used BoBunny designer paper (to be listed in my store this week) and BoBunny Double Dot Sunflower as well as Bazzill Bling (I’m sorry, I am not remembering the color right now! Sugar Daddy?). I used Versafine Onyx Black and polysparkle embossing powder for the sentiment and images.
I stamped the image 3 times and embossed all three. I used Copics (again, I didn’t write down the colors, I’m sorry!) to color each image. I cut out the layers as shown in the top picture and popped each layer up with a dimensional.
And this is the inside:
I made a gift card holder on the inside similar to the one Jen made last week. I gifted this card and movie tickets to my wonderful nephew. I’m really proud of him and so I’ll brag for a minute… He’s been accepted to the Texas Aerospace Scholars program for 2009-2010 and I’m really proud of him. I thought this card would serve multiple meaning for him to remind him that he can be and do anything that he dreams and works for. Plus he loves movies so this all just worked perfectly!! Love it when that happens!!
I’m still under the weather so I’ve gotten NO crafting done this week. SOB!! But I do have this card that I made for Julie. I’m feeling a bit better tonight and tomorrow I’m supposed to leave for San Antonio to attend the Copic Certification course. So, wish me luck!!!
This card uses Frost Double Dot designer paper from BoBunny, Crystals and Sparkles designer paper from the BB Snowy Serenade line as well as PTI white.
This paper is just gorgeous. You have to see it in person to truly appreciate its beauty. There is glitter in the snowflakes! The snowflake charm is from Artful Inkables. The gorgeous matching brads are from the Ensemble iCandy brad collection that coordinates with the Snowy Serenade line.
I hope everyone enjoys their weekend and I’ll see you all back on Monday!
We are getting very close to wrapping up the year for the Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge! I can’t believe a year has gone by!! Wow!! Thank you to all of the participants who make this challenge so much fun!
Be sure to check back next week when I’ll have a Christmas message to wrap up our year and give you some previews for what is to come!!
Ok, let’s get down to business!
This week’s challenge has been issued by the
supernova rockstar, Margie!
I don’t know about you guys, but I’m still celebrating the release of New Moon!
And with my b’day in just a few days! I’m in the mood to keep on celebrating in every way possible!
… sigh… wouldn’t it be nice to receive a handsome vampire as a gift?

This week’s Challenge is to create a “Celebrating” project for the vampire-lover in your life! You can choose any holiday or event i.e. birthday, Christmas, Valentine’s, etc.
Have a ton of fun with this one!
Comment portion: There’s no denying that we all have wish lists! Especially with the holidays upon us! Some lists are a little more practical than others… What’s on your “not-so-practical” wish list??? Please share!!!
Note to self, remember to wish Margie a very happy birthday on Thursday, Dec. 10th!!!
..duh…yes it would be nice to receive a handsome vampire as a gift…
(sorry Donna, I forgot to put my card up first…)
This handsome “vampire” would be nice…
or this one…
(Is it getting hot in here????)
or this one…
(Yes, I think it is…)
Or this non-vamp:
I bet no one guessed I’d list Justin Furstenfeld in my “not so practical” wish list, huh?? See CB back there? He’s hot, too!!
Here’s the ring Justin can buy me:
And then we can go to Fiji and stay at the Poseidon Undersea Resort:
And I want to look like this while I’m at it!!!
Dude! It’s my “not-so-practical” wish list—I can have what I want!!
Ok, back to Planet Reality.
I made a celebrating project for the vampire-lover in my life, Beth.
The celebration part is two-fold. 1. It’s her Christmas card (sorry there’s no surprise there Beth!) 2. It celebrates her Morgan stamp set and all the hard work she’s done!
I apologize for the lighting.
The sketch I used is Mercy’s Tuesday Sketch Challenge #50.
I used Petty Cash In the Pink, and Strawberry Daiquiri Bazzill Bling cardstock. I also use PTI white and designer paper and brads by Doodlebug Design Inc. The ribbon is Soft Suede from SU!. The image is from Naughty or Nice and I colored Morgan with Copics and Spicas.
Copics: RV04, RV10, R29, R37, YG03, E57, E55, VG 17, E00, B000, N0
This is on the inside of the card. The sentiment is from the same set and is stamped in Vintage Sepia Versafine ink. The Morgan image is stamped in Black Onyx Versafine.
Ok, you know the drill! Check out the other designer’s projects:
I might be one of the only people on the planet who enjoys Monday. But I do. I like Monday because it’s the start of something new. The kids are back in school…the house is quiet…and, of course, it’s Mojo Monday time!
Here is this week’s Mojo Monday 116 sketch:
WAIT!!! Hold up a second.
Have you ever been shopping around or driving down the street and see an advertisement and the color combo just reached out and grabbed you??
Well, that happened to me with this:
Yoplait Delights, Chocolate Raspberry
So I knew I wanted to use this color combo this week.
Chocolate Brown, Dark and Light Pink.
And here is my creation:
I used Soft Suede (SU!), Flat Broke (Bazzill Bling), Melon Mambo (SU!), Pink Pirouette (SU!), and white (PTI). The designer paper is from SEI and the stamp set is Thankful Accents by Verve. I also used Vintage Sepia Versafine and Melon Mambo SU! ink . The final accessories are Nestie ovals, Martha Stewart bling, Melon Mambo ribbon (SU!).
This is one gorgeous circle with scroll/flourish work! It’s got so many possibilities!!
This is the inside all ready for me to write in! Now if only Friday will get here…
Our friends should be companions who inspire us, who help us rise to our best. ~Joseph B. Wirthlin~
Recently I was given the opportunity to make this card for the person who has inspired my love for paper crafting more than any one else. I thought it was incredibly important that “Living Inspired” be the sentiment because she is truly inspirational.
I used Love Bandit BoBunny paper for this card. The white layers and base are PTI.
See that gorgeous butterfly? Not my original idea. Beate came up with this many months ago and I copied it. See? Inspiration. I usually add something to the inspiration pieces I get from others. In this case, I added the wire antennae.
Stampers, I just had to show you this gorgeous flower! Look at the brad in the middle! SWOON! All BoBunny Love Bandit. You need to get you some!!
Ok, the inside might seem a little stalkerish.
I was trying to convey that I hope others see a little of her creavity and inspiration in my own projects. There are so many truly gifted stamper artists out there and everyday I am totally amazed at the sensational projects I see. A few of my inner circle of friends have talked about the dying art of leaving a comment in online galleries and blogs. I’m just as guilty as others. We all get busy and we drool over someone’s creation, but we forget to tell them how their creation inspired us!
So today, I encourage you to leave a comment on one of those blogs you visit…leave a comment…tell the artist how inspirational she or he is!
My mojo and I had a fight this morning. I don’t know if I have ever spent this much time on one card before!!! Absolutely nothing about this card turned out the way I envisioned it.
Mojo – 1 Tonya – 0
The Mojo Monday (Week 113) Sketch is supposed to look like this:
And I just love this sketch! I plan to use it a couple of more times this week!!
But this morning, it just wasn’t working for me. Here’s what I came up with:
The designer paper is BoBunny Winter Serenade and it is so gorgeous. The bottom layer and cross are BoBunny Double Dot Frost. The white layers are PTI and the layer under the cross is Glass Slipper Bling by Bazzill. The Images are from the Blessed Christmas set by Verve Stamps.
I used retired Baja Breeze Stampin’ Up! Ink to sponge the edges. I also used Brilliance black ink for the images. The card is standard size.
Did you know tomorrow is the last day to sign up for Twilight Tuesday’s New Moon Blog Hop?
