I made a simple 4×4” card for this challenge. I used Copics to color my Edward image.

Of course I had to use Shimmerz to make Edward sparkle:

ttccgf 001

I used Angel Wings Shimmerz for Edward’s face. He was stamped on SU! Shimmery White paper so there is plenty of sparkle on this card.

I also used Coal Shimmerz to color the stripes in Edward’s pants…cause he’s cool.

My bestie Beth issued the awesome challenge for this week’s Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge #33: Favorite New Moon Quote:

I love quotes that capture a moment – just a sentence or two that stick out and remain in your memory forever. My challenge is to choose one from New Moon (that is a challenge in and of itself ~ choosing just one) that sticks with you. One of my favorite quotes in the whole series is from Jake, of course, and since I have used it already, I will ‘challenge’ myself to find another.  But as Challenge Mistress, I will wield my considerable power and share it anyway – even if it is a little long.

Craft Portion: Create a project that captures the moment and complements the quote you’ve chosen.

Comment Portion: Explain why your quote is memorable to you and what about it ‘grabbed’ you initially.

This week I’m recycling because (as you well know by now!) I’m finishing up the storefront for my new Stamp Happens shop. It’s been a massive undertaking but I think I am finally coming to a close with that project! Well, at least closure with creating it.

Actually, I could totally do this challenge over and over and over. I have an idea that I’d like to do for it and maybe if the next week slows down, I might! But on with the fun:

stamphappens christmas 017

I originally made this project for TTIC #12: Inspiration from Twilight Quotes. The quote is memorable because it sums up the loss of Edward so well. I think anyone who has lost an Edward in their life totally understands this idea.

Next week, I should be returning to my crafting projects. I have a lot of new ideas and product reviews to share with you and I’m really excited. I have one particular product that I believe is going to totally rock your socks. There are tons of cool things on the horizons my friends! If you didn’t see yesterday’s post requesting your input on my store, please visit it and help me out!

Well, stampers. It’s that time again…time for another Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge! This week, our very clever and cool Margie has issued the challenge. She chose Bella and Edward’s wedding.

Craft: Create something inspired by their wedding. (Remember, Alice was the coordinator that consulted with Esme and Renee on most things to surprise Bella!)

Comment: What are your favorite things in a wedding? And/or most memorable ‘in real life’ or movie/tv wedding you’ve ever seen…?

I decided to create a wedding card for Bella and Edward. I knew immediately the paper and design I would use. I couldn’t help but CASE myself from Christmas!

I absolutely adore this blue shimmery paper from PTI. It’s the most gorgeous paper ever. Julie calls it her Midnight Sun paper. I think it is sooooo appropriate.

This is a gatefold card. It’s base size is 5 1/4” square.

I kept it very simple because I cannot bear for anything to cover the splendid shimmer of this paper. So I always keep these cards simplistic. I also used the SU! shimmery white.

Here’s a better look of the blue metallic shimmer. I wish I could show everyone this in real life. It’s so stunning!

I also used silver ribbon from PTI. It’s also beautiful! The acrylic tag is from Close to My Heart. It has the perfect sentiment on it!

I used the Ever After set from SU! with Night of Navy ink. The image is stamped on shimmery white SU! card stock.

The inside is rather plain…

And no, I cannot stamp straight to save my life. Even with a Stamp-a-ma-jig. Oh well, can’t win them all!!

So Margie asked about wedding memories. Hmm. That’s tough. Years ago I watched Calliope and Eugene get married on Days of Our Lives during Christmas and her wedding dress had Christmas lights on it. That was memorable.

Princess Di and Prince Charles’ wedding was memorable.

The pictures from my Bestie’s wedding were memorable…stunning. I didn’t get to go…but I sure wish I were there. She was so beautiful…she still is.

My TTIC #18 Post, Finally! Twilight Valentines

Amazingly, I’ve finished. I know…AMAZING. Stampers, I don’t know what to say. I’m thinking I should just change my alter ego from Stampvamp to DramaMama. But anyway, I’m here for the moment. Last Friday, while playing with some of my fabby stamping friends, I broke out into full body hives…allergic reaction that landed me in the ER. It’s been a wild ride this weekend and I’m on ‘roids so bare with me. Currently, I feel like I’m going to explode. So that doesn’t make for good usage of the hands! smile_sarcastic Drama is low at the moment…so let’s get started!

This week’s Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge was issued by Julie. Her theme is Twilight Valentines and here are her specifics:

The creative part of the challenge is to make a Valentine that could be given to one character from another in the Twilight world. With all of those couples, there should be enough to inspire us! Just to be clear — as much as many of us might want to gift Rob with multiple mushy Valentines — this particular challenge is a Twilight character thing rather than a Rob thing.

For the comment portion of the challenge — talk a bit about the couples in the Twilight world. Which couple’s story you might relate to or admire, which couple might not work for you (hey, imprinting on a baby theme – I’m looking at you!). Anything you like. I would bet that a lot of us love the stories because of the romantic elements — just elaborate on that a bit, and tell us what parts of that appealed to you.

So, of course I had to make a card from Edward to Bella. I saw this little cherub and it is so reminiscent of the early 1900s that I had to use it. I masked the cherub so it could sit on top of the frame with the word love in it. I wanted a simply Valentine from Edward to Bella. He’s so gentlemanly and old-fashioned. But, he’s also immortal and an edgy vamp. So, I couldn’t really leave that out either. Hence…you get this combo:

The card is a 4×4″ square using Riding Hood Red, Basic Black and PTI’s white. I used VersaMark to stamp the French Script background on the RRH layer. I used Jet Black Stazon for the cherub, the sentiment (love), and the frame. I also used some wonderful rhinestones that both Dani and Eve sent.

These flowers are Prima Fabric Fancies. Yes, I really added a black flower on a Valentine’s card…it’s from a vampire!

And of course, I added Angel Wingz Shimmerz on the cherub’s wings and feather. I love that stuff!

And this is the inside of the card! Isn’t it a perfect thing for Edward to say to Bella?

Stamps: Clear Art Stamps: Cherubs; SU! En Francais, SU! Frames with a Flourish

Stampin’ Write Markers: Real Red, Bashful Blue, Blush Blossom, Close to Cocoa, Creamy Caramel

Ribbon: PaperTrey Ink

TTIC #10. Ok. This is just SILLY. Bella? Esme?

Category : Bella Stamps, Twilight Tuesday Inspiration

Right about now I could put on my psychology hat and start lecturing about reliability in experimental research designs…and you’d probably get bored to tears and unsubscribe to my blog. I’m in a huff. Here’s the long and short of it. Several weeks ago, I took TA’s Which Female Twilight Character Are You? quiz and got ESME. I get this. I figured I would end up her or Bella.

So I made my TTIC card:

Note “Esme” in the corner.

And now when I go back to TA to grab the “I’m a…” badge…look who I get…!!!

I'm a Bella! I found out through TwilightersAnonymous.com. Which Twilight Female Are You? Take the quiz and find out!
Take the Quiz and Share Your Results!

I’m not remaking my card. Gosh, I’m so snarky and temperamental this week!! Please overlook me. Honestly, this doesn’t surprise me. I see myself teetering on the edge of both of these characters. Esme’s love of family…Bella’s private/shy/clumsy side. So I get this. But I’m still not changing my card. Let’s go look…

The Esme in me picked the colors. Always Artichoke, Baja Breeze, and Sahara Sand. It’s kind of conservative with flare. My Esme is working on her CAD program so she can design her new house. Or renovate Bella’s. The image is from Stamping Bella.

There is a lot of bling on this card. But it might be subtle. Esme has a blingy necklace. And there’s a bling circle in the flower of her computer. Obviously, this is not me since I’ve given up desktops for super cool tablet laptops. Which I’ve lost my stylus pen for so what difference does it make if I have a tablet? Wait..there goes the snark again. I’m very curious where that darn thing went (eyeballing little lady who snatches my stuff…)…

Bling in the corner too. These are rhinestone brads. I love these. I never get them straight so I don’t try anymore. See the “esme”? Those are rub-on letters. It’s amazing isn’t it. Let me admire my work. SIGH. Nothing peeled off or set me off during the rubbing on of Esme. That IS amazing.

Of course, Esme sparkles ala Shimmerz. Have I mentioned how much I adore them?

And finally, a little bling with brads in the corner.

The card is standard 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ with an Always Artichoke base. Then I layered with Sahara Sand and paper pierced the sides. I used the frame punch for the frame pieces (why doesn’t that sound right?) and added the brads. The designer paper is a level 1 hostess gift. And I used my Stampin’ Write, Many Marvelous Markers set to color the image on water color paper. I used my aqua painter a small amount to blend.

How I’m like Esme and Bella.

Well, I’ve already told you…I’m fiercely loyal to my family. My kids and husband are very, very important to me. My friends are important to me. I love them all and am a loving person. Except this week. This week I’m snarky. It must be me letting down the stress of last week.

As far as Bella goes…I totally get her. I hate to be stared at. I hate being put on display in front of people I don’t know. But I do it. When I need to. I like to read. I’d rather be alone. I prefer small groups to large ones. I take care of people. I’m clumsy. I put other people’s needs and feelings above mine.

Your turn!! I’m going to go take a happy pill so I’ll be all warm and fuzzy again. *eye rolling*
