120x240banner Hello Twilighters!!! Did you see the movie yet? OME, I’m going for my second showing today…

This week’s Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge is actually a two week challenge due on Dec. 1st.

I’m posting today to help inspire you to scrap your New Moon experience! Let’s take a look at the challenge wording from Alison:

Hey Twilighters! The time has come! The wait is over! New Moon was released last Friday!!

I’m betting that a lot of you made big plans; I know I did! But here’s the thing, we at TTIC don’t want to just hear about your experience with the movie, we want to see it!!!

Did you pack up your camera and TAKE PHOTOS of your New Moon experience? Pics while you’re were waiting in line, of you and your Twi-friends, and even the afterglow of seeing all your fave Twi-boys??

Now, pull out your die cut machines, your snazzy embellishments and make a layout! Journal about your night out! Show us those awesome photos! Scrap your movie tickets! Let’s all get scrappin’!!!

This challenge will be due on December 1st, so for those of you who didn’t see the flick opening night, you’ve still got some time to play along with us!

So what if you don’t normally scrap?? Well, I’ve got some inspiration for you today! Recently, I posted instructions for an Easy Mini Scrapbook that would be perfect for your New Moon experience!

I even made my own New Moon sample. Ready to see?

I made this mini scrapbook using BoBunny Almond Double Dot card stock, St. Nick designer paper and Bazzill Raven cardstock.

The sentiment is from Otherworldly Loves by StampInsanity Stamps. I used Jet Black Stazon ink. I know, you’re drooling over the rose, right? Let’s look closer…

I am a BoBunny lover my dear stampers! And this gorgeous creation is inspired by Tonya Dirk (BoBunny design team). You can watch the video here! Tonya kindly shows some individual pictures HERE.

Now, most of you know that I spent the weekend in Austin, Texas with Beth and Julie where we saw New Moon and Blue October. So I decided to make this quick and easy scrapbook to commemorate our time together!

The date is separated by rhinestones. I haven’t put the pictures in yet since I’m still going through them. Good times!

For some reason I’ve yet to figure out, Beth is decidedly “Team Jacob”. So I made this page just for her. If you enlarge the picture, you will note that I embossed the blacked out “new moon” with a gorgeous black embossing powder. I’ll update you with the brand later today. It’s stunning! The ‘Team Jacob’ and ‘Who’s afraid of the big bad wolf?’ sentiments and wolf image are from Artful Inkables. I used Soft Suede (SU!) ink to sponge the sides and stamp the words. I used white craft ink (SU!) and embossing powder (clear) as well.

Of course Team Edward gets represented too!! The “Edward” image is from The Greeting Farm and the heart image is from Artful Inkables. I used Copics and Spicas to color the images.

I did a little something different with Edward’s hair. I layered it in spots. I hope this picture does it justice! Some pieces layer up once and the middle layers up twice.

A little ‘Be Safe’ in remembrance of Edward asking Bella not to do anything dangerous when he leaves. And even though the quote is from Twilight, who’s being picky? I can’t help but think of this quote as something Edward might be thinking during the time he’s away from Bella.

And finally, I left this page blank. I intend to use my white gel pen to write in some special words about our trip!

I can’t wait to see what you create!! Remember, you have until next Tuesday, Dec. 1st to scrap your New Moon experience!

TTIC #55: Monochromatic Colors

Category : Twilight Tuesday Inspiration

Are you looking at that fabulous countdown widget??? Those are magic numbers my friends…magic numbers!!! I’m already starting to get very anxious!!! But let’s talk about the Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge first!

Today, Eve has issued us a fabulous color scheme challenge. We’re supposed to pick a monochromatic palette inspired by the Twilight saga for our projects. I’ve chosen to be inspired by the New Moon movie poster and use this color scheme by Bazzill (Bling):

bazzillsugardaddy

I also used this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch (#113) for my layout design on the card I made:

I did not add a lot of extras to this card. I wanted that gorgeous Bazzill Bling to do all the talking for me. The images are from Artful Inkables  Into the Moonlight and Fictionally Inspired.

While I’m talking about Artful Inkables, they just released some very cute new stamps. I’ve got my eye on Monster Medical…it’s really cute! The little monster with the bandages on his/her forehead is just too cute!!

Ok, back to my card. I water colored the wolf. Whoa. Backup, what? Yes, you read correctly…I water colored the wolf. I like my water coloring on the ‘nontraditional’ side and this is how I like it. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about ‘traditional’ art and you know…sometimes I just like stuff that might not be “proper”.  So yes, my water coloring is darker than you might be accustomed to.

I used Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, and Creamy Caramel Stampin’ Write Markers (Stampin’ Up!) to do my water coloring. I also used Creamy Caramel for the paw print and Jet Black Stazon for the Wolf Girl sentiment. You know what? I’m not Team Jacob. Nope. Not one bit. So you Team Jacob girls, leave me a comment. I’ll throw you in random.org and send the lucky winner this card!

(Deadline is Monday, November 23, 2009. I’ll reveal the winner on next Tuesday’s post!)

Alison has issued an early challenge that is due December 1, 2009. Her wording is far better than mine so please…Be sure to pop over to TTIC to get the full challenge details.

Oh! I almost forgot! What are your New Moon movie plans??? This week, I’m meeting some of my TTIC friends for a girls’ weekend! Tonight, Julie is flying in. Tomorrow, Julie and I are going to meet up with Dani for lunch!! And Thursday, Julie and I will meet up with Beth in Austin. We’ve got 10:00 a.m. tickets for New Moon on Friday. I did the midnight showing thing last year… Never. Again.

download_thumb_1158785407_01Then, on Saturday night, we’re off to see my fake-boyfriend Justin perform at Stubb’s in Austin. I noticed on www.stepheniemeyer.com, that SM wanted a Blue October song on the New Moon soundtrack but it got nixed.

STUPID MOVE WHOEVER WAS IN CHARGE.

Now, go see what the other fab TTIC Designers have made for you!!

I get to share my project with you today! I made a 6×6” layout to be used when the future Breaking Dawn movie is released.

I colored the image with my Copics. The paper came from my friends Eve, and Julie.

I thought I’d show you the different levels in this layout.

The pawn and “romantic” are both popped up with dimensionals.

Tomorrow, I will be sitting out of the normally scheduled Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge. Instead, later in the week I’ll be bringing you a very special blog post on TTIC that will positively WOW you!

On to this week’s challenge!!

TTIC #36: What Says Twilight To You?

So many things say “Twilight” to the multitudes of Twilight fans. What images do you think of when you think about the Twilight books and movies? For some, Twilight means an apple, for some, the chess piece on the cover of Breaking Dawn, and for others, Bella’s truck conjures up the Twilight mood. Many fans love to express their Twilight love by choosing a “team” to root for, and others have favorite quotes from the book that are near and dear to them.

For the craft portion of the challenge: create a piece that expresses what comes to mind when YOU think of the Twilight saga.

For the comment portion of the challenge: Many people often say that reading the Twilight saga has been life-changing. Please share how the saga has changed your own life or made you view life in a different way.

For me, I conjure up a million things when I think of the Twilight Saga. I think about the book covers and those are the images my children are constantly pointing out to me! So I am celebrating the book covers this week…because I’m a Fanpire!

ttic special ai challenge 006

I used a lot of gifts for this project. The red paper (and that is some very, very luscious stuff) is from Eve, the black flocked paper is from Julie, and the FANTASTIC image is from Artful INKables. Thank you all!!!

I used my trusty SWMs to color the image. I sponged the edges and stamped Fanpire in Riding Hood Red SU! ink. I used my nestabilities for the circles and the oval and eyelet punches are from SU!. The rhinestones are from Close to My Heart. The white paper is from PTI. I’m hoping I got everything there!

Be sure to check back all week to see more projects made with Artful INKables’ new sets. I’ll have projects all week and Monday too!
