It’s time for another Twilight Tuesday Sketch Challenge! Dani always brings such wonderful challenges to us! Today I’m showing off the Flutter Butter BoBunny collection I just uploaded to my shop.

I used the color palette Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise, and Apricot Appeal from Stampin’ Up! for my inks. The card base is PTI white and so is the center piece including the image the butterfly is stamped on. I used Bazzill Sugar Daddy for my layering. The image is popped up using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used the acrylic stamp set Harmony. I inked it in Old Olive then cleaned off the spots where I wanted the Chocolate Chip and Apricot Appeal. I colored those two areas with my Stampin’ Write Markers (who are feeling quite unloved lately!). I used Snowy Serenade Flowers in white and blue. The largest white flower was colored with my Apricot Appeal SWM (cool, huh?). I then used Butterfly Dreams iCandy Jewels for the centers of each flower. The designer papers I used are Willow and Breeze.

Be sure to stop by Twilight Tuesday so you can see the other awesome designs using this sketch!

Emergency!!

Well, not really…but what if you had one? After my two trips to the emergency room last month, I got to thinking. During the second trip, I admit I got very aggravated that I had to keep repeating the same personal medical information over and over. So, I thought, wouldn’t it have been convenient to have been able to just hand them something with my info on it? So I made this…

This is a small business card sized envelope…see?

And it can fit easily inside my purse or my wallet. Here’s what’s inside:

A form with all the relevant medical and personal information the hospital needs.

I could even slip my insurance card in here. And throw the whole thing at the medical personnel who won’t bring me pain medication or a pillow the next time I’m in the hospital.

TTIC #10. Ok. This is just SILLY. Bella? Esme?

Right about now I could put on my psychology hat and start lecturing about reliability in experimental research designs…and you’d probably get bored to tears and unsubscribe to my blog. I’m in a huff. Here’s the long and short of it. Several weeks ago, I took TA’s Which Female Twilight Character Are You? quiz and got ESME. I get this. I figured I would end up her or Bella.

So I made my TTIC card:

Note “Esme” in the corner.

And now when I go back to TA to grab the “I’m a…” badge…look who I get…!!!

I'm a Bella! I found out through TwilightersAnonymous.com. Which Twilight Female Are You? Take the quiz and find out!
Take the Quiz and Share Your Results!

I’m not remaking my card. Gosh, I’m so snarky and temperamental this week!! Please overlook me. Honestly, this doesn’t surprise me. I see myself teetering on the edge of both of these characters. Esme’s love of family…Bella’s private/shy/clumsy side. So I get this. But I’m still not changing my card. Let’s go look…

The Esme in me picked the colors. Always Artichoke, Baja Breeze, and Sahara Sand. It’s kind of conservative with flare. My Esme is working on her CAD program so she can design her new house. Or renovate Bella’s. The image is from Stamping Bella.

There is a lot of bling on this card. But it might be subtle. Esme has a blingy necklace. And there’s a bling circle in the flower of her computer. Obviously, this is not me since I’ve given up desktops for super cool tablet laptops. Which I’ve lost my stylus pen for so what difference does it make if I have a tablet? Wait..there goes the snark again. I’m very curious where that darn thing went (eyeballing little lady who snatches my stuff…)…

Bling in the corner too. These are rhinestone brads. I love these. I never get them straight so I don’t try anymore. See the “esme”? Those are rub-on letters. It’s amazing isn’t it. Let me admire my work. SIGH. Nothing peeled off or set me off during the rubbing on of Esme. That IS amazing.

Of course, Esme sparkles ala Shimmerz. Have I mentioned how much I adore them?

And finally, a little bling with brads in the corner.

The card is standard 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ with an Always Artichoke base. Then I layered with Sahara Sand and paper pierced the sides. I used the frame punch for the frame pieces (why doesn’t that sound right?) and added the brads. The designer paper is a level 1 hostess gift. And I used my Stampin’ Write, Many Marvelous Markers set to color the image on water color paper. I used my aqua painter a small amount to blend.

How I’m like Esme and Bella.

Well, I’ve already told you…I’m fiercely loyal to my family. My kids and husband are very, very important to me. My friends are important to me. I love them all and am a loving person. Except this week. This week I’m snarky. It must be me letting down the stress of last week.

As far as Bella goes…I totally get her. I hate to be stared at. I hate being put on display in front of people I don’t know. But I do it. When I need to. I like to read. I’d rather be alone. I prefer small groups to large ones. I take care of people. I’m clumsy. I put other people’s needs and feelings above mine.

Your turn!! I’m going to go take a happy pill so I’ll be all warm and fuzzy again. *eye rolling*

Peaceful wishes for my sister…

When I was stamping with my sister, I snatched this paper from her stash. She loves gardening and I had this Chichiboulie I colored awhile back. So I made her this card. And who can’t use some “peaceful wishes” in their life?

I don’t know the brand of the paper but my base is Regal Rose. I also use Certainly Celery and Pink Pirouette.

Those are some of my new Robin’s Eggs. Aren’t they precious? I can’t wait to use them more!!

I used a scallop edge, scallop circle, a circle punch, and an oval punch. I used my Stampin’ Write Markers to color the image and added a Certainly Celery ribbon. Oh! And a white gel pen and a rub-on for the sentiment.

Tomorrow is the Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge! And it’s going to be a good one! I cannot wait to show you what I have…

Gossip Girls

Category : Bella Stamps, Cards

Well, really this should be called…Gushy Girls. This is me gushing with my friends (Shout out to Julie, Dani, Eve, Jen, Stephenie, Beth, and Twilight TwitterMoms!) over Twilight. Well, if we want to get *technical* my girl would be typing away at her computer but go with me…

Specifically, that’s me showing how I’m going to use my “special abilities” to zap the movie makers if they screw up the movie. Tomorrow I hope to bring you the other end of the conversation. *wink* Listen… “Yeah, I saw Bella in her prom scene with Edward the delicious. And Alice obviously didn’t dress her. RIGHT! I know….what were they thinking!! A tennis shoe! Leggings!! I bet Alice is turning over in her ummm…grave?”

This is a 4×4 square card. Don’t look too closely or you’ll see the mess I made with my Shimmerz. *blush* That’s Gossipy Stella from StampingBella. Isn’t she cute? I used Whisper White, Gable Green and Tempting Turquoise card stock. I also used my Stampin’ Write Markers to color the image.

If you really want to know what I’m talking about, See the picture.

Alice Cullen. Don’t you just love her? She totally rocks. I’d love for Stephenie Meyer to write Jasper and Alice’s story. Anyway, here’s my inspiration challenge piece for this week:

Note the Bella I used. See yesterday’s post pertaining to Bellas and Cullens. Even though this Bella has long hair, she’s still my Alice.

I used a somewhat odd color combo. I used the Parisian Summer designer paper and added a splash of Baja Breeze! Wild, huh! I also added a Chocolate Chip wide satin ribbon (retired).

The sentiment is my favorite Alice quote, “No one dressed by me ever looks like an idiot.” Please, Alice! Come dress me!! I printed that on vellum and tacked in on with rhinestone square brads.

I also added a Blooms Again die cut flower with a brad that I do not have a brand name for.

For the Comment Inspiration, what special ability would I have? That is a hard one. I would almost choose mind reading like Edward, but I think I’m too sensitive and perhaps, dare I say, vindictive, to hear bad things about myself or others. Maybe I’d like Jasper’s power…being able to excite or calm a situation. That’d be helpful with my family. Or maybe I’d like Hiro’s time traveling power…oops…wrong show/movie/book. I guess I’ll take Jasper’s ability since I can’t think of anything original right now. *I’m using my Jasper ability to excite everyone into wanting to submit a project for this week’s challenge….*
