Isn’t this fun?? Scrappers and Stampers Halloween fun!! YAY!! Thanks so much to Sarabeth for hosting this awesome hop!!

We are sharing Halloween fun with you today so let me dig into my trick or treat bag and find some cool stuff…

This was taken last year at a local pumpkin patch. I adore pumpkin patches and festivals during the fall!

I love haunted houses. I love haunted histories. I’d prefer to watch shows about haunted places than to watch horror flicks. I’m not much into horror flicks. But psychologically scary thrillers? OH YEAH, BABY!!!

I remember it took me like 3 years to watch The Shining from beginning to end! hahaha

I adore Halloween and traditionally we decorate our house and do lots of fun stuff. This year, we are taking a break so I can’t show any really cool stuff! :(

Let me show you some of my favorite Halloween projects:

This is one of my favorite cards for this season! I like the way it turned out and it went to someone really special so it’s special to me!!

The inside sentiment is da bomb!!

This is my second favorite card for this year. I love it!!

I made this last year. I found the pattern on the internet and it’s properly credited in the original post…but I’m a little sick right now so I can’t go find all the info. Isn’t it cute?

This is also from last year.

I love the colors on this. I used a dryer sheet (used) for the cobweb. I sure miss Kiwi Kiss!!

And this was my absolute favorite from last year. These are 6×6” layouts. I loved that paper!!

Sugar & Spice Makes Christmas Nice!

You know what else makes Christmas nice? The gorgeous 2009 designer BoBunny Christmas paper!!!! Oh how I love this stuff!!!

I used this precious Anya image from The Greeting Farm that my friend Jen sent me a couple of months ago. I’ve been wanting to color her for quite some time now but life has just gotten in the way!

I decided to make her a bit “Christmasy” (is that a word?) so she could adorn this lovely BoBunny Paper! Are you drooling yet?

The top paper is St. Nick Noel and the bottom paper is St. Nick Hollyberry.

The card stock layers, ribbon and rub-on (ignore my mistake!) are from SU! (retired).

The rhinestones coordinate with the St. Nick papers and are BoBunny. I’ll be back to add you a store link later today!

I used Copics to color the Anya image and Spicas to add the sparkle on the green and red.

I actually surprised myself with this card. Before adding the image, I was really not liking the colors I chose. But once it was all put together…I loved it.

You better go grab some of that beautiful BoBunny Christmas paper before I use it all myself!!! Stamp Happens Shop

I’m going to participate in Sarabeth’s Happy Halloween Blog Hop above. If you’d like to check it out too, please click through the image above!!

Today, I made a card for Beate’s Weekend Sketch Challenge (WSC102).

I was able to use a retired River Rock long note card for the base of this card. I really miss that color!

I did something I never do…embossing! I embossed the skull image! This stamp image just screams for embossing. However, as soon as I’m finished with this post, I’m off to email my friend Donna for some embossing advice. She can emboss like no one I’ve ever seen. I must find out the secrets!!!

This is the inside!  I love this card!!!

Halloween Sale!

Category : Blog Candy, Cards, Coloring Techniques, Copics, SH Shop, Seasonal, Spica Pens, Wildflower Kids Rubber Stamps

I wanted to let everyone know that there is a Halloween Sale going on in my Stamp Happens Shop!

  • BoBunny Halloween designer paper
  • BoBunny Calypso Class Kit
  • BoBunny Mango Luau Class Kit
  • BoBunny Popsicle Class Kit
  • StampInsanity Halloween stamp sets
  • Wildflower Kids stamp sets

I’m making room for the new Fall 2009 collection from BoBunny and you’re going to love it! I’ll be holding classes from these lines and I’m so excited! I’ll begin taking pre-orders this week!

For now, I want to show you a couple of cards I made with the Wildflower Kids Ghoul Friends set.

This card features Boo Crew Dot designer paper from BoBunny along with Bazzill Raven canvas and Papertrey Ink white card stock.

I stamped the Frankenstein image in Versafine Black Onyx ink and used my Copic Ciaos and Spicas to color him.

I failed to lay out my Ciao colors this time, please forgive me!

The rhinestones are from Stampin’ Up!.

I tried to make this card simple since it is really for a boy. Boys aren’t too fond of girly-girl cards with ribbon and lots of sparkle…at least my 10 year old isn’t! So I wanted to keep this one simple.

This one is more my style! The cool thing about this little card is that it isn’t limited to Halloween!

Little girls love dress up so it’s a cute card for birthdays or any other occasion.

I used Versafine Black Onyx to stamp the image and Copic Ciaos and Spicas to color the image.

The ribbon is from Stampin’ Up! as is the Pink Passion paper.

I used the Bazzill Raven and PTI white for the other card stock.

I used a Martha Stewart punch and bling from my stash.

See the sparkle from the Spicas??

So cute!!

The Halloween Sale doesn’t last forever so hurry up and get your stuff!

Oh! And before I leave, Jen is having a blog candy giveaway:

Ghoul Friends

Category : Cards, Copics, SH Shop, Seasonal, Spica Pens, Wildflower Kids Rubber Stamps

I made this card fro the WFK halloween release but as you know, I had technical difficulties and it didn’t make it up as it should have. So I’m sharing it today!

I used the Free Broom Rides and Ghoul Friends sets to make this 5 1/4” square card.

I also used Bazzill Bling orange (not sure of the exact color) for the base (and circle layer) and BoBunny Designer Paper for the bottom layer. And of course, I used PaperTrey Ink’s white card.

I used Copics and Spicas to color the images. I’ve tried to give you an angle view so you could see the glittery sparkle from the Spicas.

When you use Spica pens, you really don’t need a color underneath. You can use a color under them, but it is unnecessary.

This is the inside of my card and has my favorite sentiment from the entire collection: “Just hanging out with my ghoul friends”! Isn’t that too cute?

More to come this week my friends! I look forward to sharing lots with you this week.

Late Valentines and a Week Off…

Category : Cards, Challenges, PaperTrey Ink, Seasonal, Sizzix, Stampin' Up! Stamps, Twilight Tuesday Inspiration

As a lot of you are aware, I’ve been sick for the past week. I’m getting over an infection and I’m really feeling a lot better, but I’m going to take it easy this week. I have classes this weekend so I’m going to concentrate on preparing for those and getting back to 100%!

Julie has been super generous and agreed to do my scheduled Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge post tomorrow. She’s really too good to me. Thank you, Julie!!! Otherwise, I’m sitting out this week. Unless something major thumps me on the head…

So, before I got really sick (between ER visit #1 and #2) I actually made a couple of Valentine’s Day cards, a bag, and a box!

I got this idea from one of my friends, Shelley. Shelley hasn’t entered blogland as far as I know so I can’t link to her. But she’s awesome and loads of fun!! Thanks for the idea, Shelley!

The card is a 5 1/4" square. The base is PTI white with a layer of Candy Lane DP (SU!). The white on the top layer is also PTI. I used the retired set Season of Friendship (SU!) and the Heart to Heart and Full Heart punches (SU!). The tree hearts are punched from the Candy Lane paper. I also used the Riding Hood Red striped grosgrain and red foil to back the full heart punch out. A thin layer of RHR layers the white.

This card is a 4" square and uses basically the same paper as the card above. I added a Pink Pirouette layer. The image is from the Love You Much set (SU!) and is colored with Pretty In Pink, Real Red, Green Galore, and Gable Green Stampin’ Write Markers. I stamped the image in Jet Black Stazon. I paper pierced and added Robin’s Nest dew drops.

I made these boxes for my kids. They are made from the Bag w/ Scallops Bigz Die (SU!, right) and the Box #2 Bigz Die (SU!, left). I filled them with little chocolate hearts.

My daughter took this one!

My son, this one. This one actually had texture on it but it kind of faded after getting smushed a bit in storage. I need to work on that a bit…???

So, I’ll be back next week. I wish all you a wonderful and blessed week! I’ll be catching up on the TTIC forum boards, Twilight Twittermoms forum, and the gifts I need to get out (here’s looking at you, Mau!!). See you soon…
