Did you get your free digi?

No? Not yet? Jump on over to The Stamp Happens Shop and grab yours!

This cute digi Maddie holding a card image is up for grabs for a limited time. My darling friend Margie sent me this adorable Cosmo Cricket spinner card quite some time ago and I’ve been holding it for exactly the right moment. This is it! Thank you again, Margie! The spinner is 5×5” so it’s a bit hard to use for a card, imho. I wasn’t prepared to use it on a scrap layout but thought it would be cute to use on something that you could hang or sit on a table or desk. So this is what I came up with!

I made a stand for the back so the whole thing can sit on a flat surface. I really like the way it turned out even though it’s not all embellished and blinged out!

Ok, here’s a shocker…I used my Stampin’ Write Markers to color Maddie. I seem to have a little trouble using Copics with the pointy edges of Maddie’s hair. I’m practicing on getting better with that!! So instead, I pulled out my trusty SWMs. Now hurry and go get your Maddie! Be sure to leave me a comment if you make something so I can visit you!

It’s time for another Twilight Tuesday Sketch Challenge! Dani always brings such wonderful challenges to us! Today I’m showing off the Flutter Butter BoBunny collection I just uploaded to my shop.

I used the color palette Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise, and Apricot Appeal from Stampin’ Up! for my inks. The card base is PTI white and so is the center piece including the image the butterfly is stamped on. I used Bazzill Sugar Daddy for my layering. The image is popped up using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used the acrylic stamp set Harmony. I inked it in Old Olive then cleaned off the spots where I wanted the Chocolate Chip and Apricot Appeal. I colored those two areas with my Stampin’ Write Markers (who are feeling quite unloved lately!). I used Snowy Serenade Flowers in white and blue. The largest white flower was colored with my Apricot Appeal SWM (cool, huh?). I then used Butterfly Dreams iCandy Jewels for the centers of each flower. The designer papers I used are Willow and Breeze.

Be sure to stop by Twilight Tuesday so you can see the other awesome designs using this sketch!

I’ve been wanting to make one of these “fancy fold” cards since I saw it on Jan Tink’s blog over a month ago! It’s finally my turn!

I followed Tonya Allen’s instructions for mine. However, I noticed Jan resized hers to fit a standard A2 envelope which I will definitely do next time I make this card!

I was blessed Saturday with a day out with two of my good friends. We went to a LSS where I picked up some wonderful Bazzill Bling cardstock. This stuff is so gorgeous. I know everyone has been using it for awhile now but not me. And boy, would I like some more!!

So this is the card all folded up.

Oh, and let me tell you…this is one sparkly card! I’ve got so much sparkle on this card, you might need sunglasses!

Here is the card opened up…

So let’s talk sparkle

stamphappens71909 004

I used retired Raspberry Tart designer paper from Stampin’ Up!. I also used the new In Color, Melon Mambo. I used Melon Mambo card stock, ribbon, and marker on this frog. I also used Stickles (Icicle) to cover the frog’s belly and spots. I used Waterfall Stickles on the water. And I used my Stampin’ Write Markers to color the image. Oh, I almost forgot, the Bazzill Bling is Emerald City.

Isn’t this just too cute?

This image…oh my! I used Spica pens for this image (where you see glitter). Can I just say I adore Spicas? I’m off to order some now so be expecting those little goodies in my shop very soon.

I know exactly who is getting this little card. Because if my sister doesn’t receive it, I’ll be absolutely disowned. She adores frogs, green and bright colors. So it’s hers.

On to this week’s challenge!!

TTIC #36: What Says Twilight To You?

So many things say “Twilight” to the multitudes of Twilight fans. What images do you think of when you think about the Twilight books and movies? For some, Twilight means an apple, for some, the chess piece on the cover of Breaking Dawn, and for others, Bella’s truck conjures up the Twilight mood. Many fans love to express their Twilight love by choosing a “team” to root for, and others have favorite quotes from the book that are near and dear to them.

For the craft portion of the challenge: create a piece that expresses what comes to mind when YOU think of the Twilight saga.

For the comment portion of the challenge: Many people often say that reading the Twilight saga has been life-changing. Please share how the saga has changed your own life or made you view life in a different way.

For me, I conjure up a million things when I think of the Twilight Saga. I think about the book covers and those are the images my children are constantly pointing out to me! So I am celebrating the book covers this week…because I’m a Fanpire!

ttic special ai challenge 006

I used a lot of gifts for this project. The red paper (and that is some very, very luscious stuff) is from Eve, the black flocked paper is from Julie, and the FANTASTIC image is from Artful INKables. Thank you all!!!

I used my trusty SWMs to color the image. I sponged the edges and stamped Fanpire in Riding Hood Red SU! ink. I used my nestabilities for the circles and the oval and eyelet punches are from SU!. The rhinestones are from Close to My Heart. The white paper is from PTI. I’m hoping I got everything there!

Be sure to check back all week to see more projects made with Artful INKables’ new sets. I’ll have projects all week and Monday too!

You’ve got a friend in me!

You know what’s sad? The retirement of In Colors. Every year it makes me sad. I hate to see In Colors retire. Especially, this past two years. But you know what? There’s hope on the horizon. There are rumors that perhaps the retired In Colors might pop back up…

Today, however, I want to remember last year’s Groovy Guava and Soft Sky. What fabulous colors! The whole card was inspired by the Sweetness embellishment I used.

ttic33 stamphappens 004

I stamped the images in Close to Cocoa, Groovy Guava, and Soft Sky. I sponged the white cardstock (PTI) with the Soft Sky. Then I did something I’ve never done before. I outlined the images! I used Chocolate Chip, Cameo Coral, and Bordering Blue SWMs to do the outlining.

ttic33 stamphappens 005

Did you notice the sparkle? This is actually colored with a Clear Stardust Sakura Pen. What an excellent source to outline fine lines! If you want to add a little sparkle with a fine line, this is your tool! It is a great addition to your pen collection! I’m totally loving it!

Are you curious about the new In Colors to be released July 1st? Well, here you go:
