I am soooo out of practice coloring!

I added a Hocus Pocus embellishment from my stash.

Please note the pearls and lace I was required to use!

And this is the inside. All done!

Farewell Week: TTIC Final Blog Hop

22

Category : Blog Hops, Twilight Tuesday Inspiration

I won’t even begin to try and gloss this post over…it’s a sad day and I’ve got my Kleenex out as I’m doing the final Farewell TTIC Blog Hop. So before I get to my post, let me say a few words…

My girls at TT are the best evah. We’re a pretty tight bunch and I value the friendships I’ve had with each and every one of them over the past year and a half. Honestly, I feel the same about some readers too. We all came together for our mutual love of Twilight and I never, ever expected to end up with so many rich blessings from it. We’ve laughed together, cried together…been through fun times and sad times. And to each of you…it’s all been worth it…thank you. I’ve got to leave it at that or I’ll totally lose it…

So!! On with the hop! You should be arriving from TTIC.

The amazingly talented and loyal Rebecca is bringing us our final challenge and she’s really thought up a charmer. Here’s what she said:

Our challenge theme????  ”Love of books, the printed words on a page” since that is what brought us all together.

Creative portion:  Create a project that uses printed text: a page from a magazine, book, dictionary, etc. within your project, as the background or focal point.

Comment Portion: I love to read the newspaper online but nothing beats a printed newspaper on Sunday mornings. And no matter how hard I try, I can’t abandon books (hardcover, softcover, or paperback) to a digital reader. Are you totally digital or do you prefer a good old fashioned printed page in your hands?”

Apropos really. I’m going to go in reverse order and answer the comment portion first. I’m eclectic with my reading preferences. I love audible books when the reader is good. I love to just relax and listen to a good story! I can do that while I’m crafting or relaxing in a hot bath. I adore audible books! I also adore my Kindle for my iPod Touch. I didn’t know if I’d like an e-reader but it’s awesome! I can collect and collect without using “space”. I have this thing where I just love to see all those book titles just there. I’ve got the Black Dagger Brotherhood series on my iPod Kindle and even some of my books for school! I am stalking the Nook. That’s what I really want. Maybe someday. And I love an old fashioned real-live book too. Because it’s easier to skip ahead and cheat a little!!! I love them all!

Now, on to my creative project. This might get tight so be warned. There are so many things I wanted to do for this challenge. So many ways I could’ve taken this. But this is the place I decided to go…

Before all my wonderful Twilight friends came along, there was the saga, Stephenie Meyer’s playlists, and a realization…confirmation…trip back to yesteryear…whatever you want to call it. I think this trip was felt by all of us but it’s always been a private whisper. An, “I have my own Edward/Jacob story” kind of deal. As the TwiMoms came together, we all knew this but we kept our privacy. But, the truth is…for the large majority of us…Twilight was so meaningful because we could relate to the Bella/Edward/Jacob triangle and it touched us in spots that have long been hidden. That’s where I’m going…oh yes.

SM’s playlists introduced me to Justin Furstenfeld and Blue October. My life has never been the same since. So, my project simply had to have Justin’s writing as it’s focal point. More exactly, it had to be My Never. I didn’t end up with my Edward. I ended up with my Jacob. My Edward is My Never. It’s funny how life sometimes goes that way. You have to make the best of it but it’s hard to forget a devastating New Moon type of heartbreak. It leaves you a little scarred. A little damaged. But time passes…one way or another it passes and you end up with all those Paris thoughts Bella had. And in the real world, Edward doesn’t always come back. So you move on.

Your next stop on the hop is Rebecca!

Be sure to be on the lookout for blog candy during the hop!!!

TPE’s 1st Birthday Hop!

12

Category : Blog Hops, Easy, The Pink Elephant

First of all, I’d like to congratulate The Pink Elephant on their 1st birthday! WHOO HOO for them! I’m sure they are all very proud of all they’ve accomplished this past year!

TPE is also celebrating with a blog hop and I’m helping them celebrate! So my part is to pick a past challenge and work it for the hop. I’ve chosen this past week’s Mushy Gushy Valentine (#53).

If you came from Lauren’s blog, you’re in the right place!! If you want to start from the beginning, go back to The Pink Elephant’s blog.

I made this 4×4” easel card using a Squigglefly digi image. I saw this image used on a recent TPE challenge and decided I simply must have it! I used Copics to color the image and all the paper is from PTI.

This is another very easy card to make and just like the other one I posted today for TTIC.  I really love the colors on this one! I added a red Spica to the the dots and trim and and ummm…I can’t remember…what color of Spica on the key.

Ok, now you are off to Lori’s blog! Have fun everyone! Enjoy!

Isn’t this fun?? Scrappers and Stampers Halloween fun!! YAY!! Thanks so much to Sarabeth for hosting this awesome hop!!

We are sharing Halloween fun with you today so let me dig into my trick or treat bag and find some cool stuff…

This was taken last year at a local pumpkin patch. I adore pumpkin patches and festivals during the fall!

I love haunted houses. I love haunted histories. I’d prefer to watch shows about haunted places than to watch horror flicks. I’m not much into horror flicks. But psychologically scary thrillers? OH YEAH, BABY!!!

I remember it took me like 3 years to watch The Shining from beginning to end! hahaha

I adore Halloween and traditionally we decorate our house and do lots of fun stuff. This year, we are taking a break so I can’t show any really cool stuff! :(

Let me show you some of my favorite Halloween projects:

This is one of my favorite cards for this season! I like the way it turned out and it went to someone really special so it’s special to me!!

The inside sentiment is da bomb!!

This is my second favorite card for this year. I love it!!

I made this last year. I found the pattern on the internet and it’s properly credited in the original post…but I’m a little sick right now so I can’t go find all the info. Isn’t it cute?

This is also from last year.

I love the colors on this. I used a dryer sheet (used) for the cobweb. I sure miss Kiwi Kiss!!

And this was my absolute favorite from last year. These are 6×6” layouts. I loved that paper!!

Thanks for going on this journey with me! Your next stop in the Halloween blog hop is Jennifer.

If you want to start at the beginning, go to Sarabeth’s Blog! (Blog Candy Alert!!!)

Oh!!! And Kristal is hosting a blog candy giveaway on her BLOG so be sure to visit!

Thanks to all the blog hoppers, this is a lot of fun!! Happy Halloween everyone… and BE SAFE!
