Wow. Just wow. A whole year has gone by since the idea for the Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge began. It’s amazing to me. We started out with just Me, Beth & Eve.

Now we’ve added a whole team, a special site, a forum, challenges beyond our original TTIC and have made a whole coven of friends!!! It amazes me. And I want to especially thank Beth and Eve for going on this adventure with me…for making this all a reality. Thank you to both of you…I’m blessed to have you as friends!!

Originally, the TTIC was only planned to last until the opening of Twilight, hence the Twilight Tuesday name. Remember when MTV was doing Twilight Tuesdays for the Twilight Movie? Good times, good times.

Anyway, the three of us unanimously decided to continue on with the TTIC and I added Dani, Jen, Julie, Margie and Rebecca to complete the team. It has been an enormous pleasure working with each of these ladies!! We’ve all been through some good times, and some bad…and it’s been nice to have a group of supportive friends. I’ve watched each of the team grow so much over the year and I’m so proud of each one!!

This summer, we expanded yet again adding Alison, Donna, Erica, and Jacquie. Another excellent set of Twilighter crafters and friends! I am so incredibly blessed by the enthusiasm our newest editions have added to the team! They bring a fresh perspective to our challenges and each are very passionate about the TTIC.

I also want to thank the entire TTIC team for their dedication. I look forward to another fun year ahead!! I could go on for a long time praising this team, but you know how it is…people want to get on to the “good stuff” so let’s go!!

I’d like to share my two favorite past challenges:

TTIC #29 is a special shout out to Justin Furstenfeld who is in my constant thoughts and prayers right now. I love you, Justin, get better soon!

And finally, I’d like to revisit TTIC #36: What Says Twilight to You?

So much going on here… I used the Mojo Monday Sketch #110 for this card. I like the sketch and plan to use it again this week on another project that I’m really excited to share. All the gorgeous paper you see…BoBunny’s St. Nick line.

I also used Glass Slipper Bazzill Bling and Raven. I used PTI for my stamped Artful Inkables image. I embossed the Versafine Onyx ink with clear powder and colored it with Copic markers. It is cut out and popped up with dimensionals. I used Nesties to cut the scallop and circles.

The O.M.E! image is from StampInsanity Stamps’ OtherWorldly set. Available in my shop. I stamped the image with StazOn Jet Black Ink.

And this is the inside. It reads, “Twilighter and not ashamed”. How perfect is that??? This image is also from the Otherwordly set. All paranormal lovers need this set!

And now, it is my most honored pleasure to send you on to the marvelous Margie’s site!

I am the first stop in the blog hop but if you would like to return to the main site, please visit www.twilighttuesday.com. Enjoy! And thanks for participating! Oh! And be on the lookout for blog candy!!!

Halloween Sale!

I wanted to let everyone know that there is a Halloween Sale going on in my Stamp Happens Shop!

  • BoBunny Halloween designer paper
  • BoBunny Calypso Class Kit
  • BoBunny Mango Luau Class Kit
  • BoBunny Popsicle Class Kit
  • StampInsanity Halloween stamp sets
  • Wildflower Kids stamp sets

I’m making room for the new Fall 2009 collection from BoBunny and you’re going to love it! I’ll be holding classes from these lines and I’m so excited! I’ll begin taking pre-orders this week!

For now, I want to show you a couple of cards I made with the Wildflower Kids Ghoul Friends set.

This card features Boo Crew Dot designer paper from BoBunny along with Bazzill Raven canvas and Papertrey Ink white card stock.

I stamped the Frankenstein image in Versafine Black Onyx ink and used my Copic Ciaos and Spicas to color him.

I failed to lay out my Ciao colors this time, please forgive me!

The rhinestones are from Stampin’ Up!.

I tried to make this card simple since it is really for a boy. Boys aren’t too fond of girly-girl cards with ribbon and lots of sparkle…at least my 10 year old isn’t! So I wanted to keep this one simple.

This one is more my style! The cool thing about this little card is that it isn’t limited to Halloween!

Little girls love dress up so it’s a cute card for birthdays or any other occasion.

I used Versafine Black Onyx to stamp the image and Copic Ciaos and Spicas to color the image.

The ribbon is from Stampin’ Up! as is the Pink Passion paper.

I used the Bazzill Raven and PTI white for the other card stock.

I used a Martha Stewart punch and bling from my stash.

See the sparkle from the Spicas??

So cute!!

The Halloween Sale doesn’t last forever so hurry up and get your stuff!

Oh! And before I leave, Jen is having a blog candy giveaway:

On to this week’s challenge!!

TTIC #36: What Says Twilight To You?

So many things say “Twilight” to the multitudes of Twilight fans. What images do you think of when you think about the Twilight books and movies? For some, Twilight means an apple, for some, the chess piece on the cover of Breaking Dawn, and for others, Bella’s truck conjures up the Twilight mood. Many fans love to express their Twilight love by choosing a “team” to root for, and others have favorite quotes from the book that are near and dear to them.

For the craft portion of the challenge: create a piece that expresses what comes to mind when YOU think of the Twilight saga.

For the comment portion of the challenge: Many people often say that reading the Twilight saga has been life-changing. Please share how the saga has changed your own life or made you view life in a different way.

For me, I conjure up a million things when I think of the Twilight Saga. I think about the book covers and those are the images my children are constantly pointing out to me! So I am celebrating the book covers this week…because I’m a Fanpire!

ttic special ai challenge 006

I used a lot of gifts for this project. The red paper (and that is some very, very luscious stuff) is from Eve, the black flocked paper is from Julie, and the FANTASTIC image is from Artful INKables. Thank you all!!!

I used my trusty SWMs to color the image. I sponged the edges and stamped Fanpire in Riding Hood Red SU! ink. I used my nestabilities for the circles and the oval and eyelet punches are from SU!. The rhinestones are from Close to My Heart. The white paper is from PTI. I’m hoping I got everything there!

Be sure to check back all week to see more projects made with Artful INKables’ new sets. I’ll have projects all week and Monday too!

Are you savvy??

jasper-promo1Lovely Julie has issued our Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge this week and she’s chosen the awesomeness of Jasper Hale!!

Julie’s challenge:

“The creative part of this challenge is to make a piece that says “Jasper” to you. And the comment portion for this week is all about Jasper’s amazing calming abilities. What do you like to do to create that Jasper-style calm for yourself? Tell us about it!”

TTIC #27 Details Here!!

Be sure to see what the other design team members have created! (Do you love this day of the week as much as I do??)

Beth ~ Dani ~ Eve ~ Jen ~ Julie ~ Margie ~ Rebecca

BTW: Twilight Tuesday just opened a new Amazon store. We’d love it if you’d shop through us. All purchases you make when you go through our Amazon search box, links on our site, or through my Good Reads books in my sidebar ( ) help us fund fantastic contests and prizes, blog candy, and site maintenance.

So, let’s see what I made for this week! I seriously love Jasper. And I love this promo picture of Jasper. I’m hoping he won’t look so harsh in New Moon, but you know what? I love Jasper. Team Jasper, baby!! I think it’s because my anxiety could use some Jasper, KWIM?

I chose very soft colors for this 6 x 6” scrap page. The paper I used is from Bella Birds (SU!). I also used Going Gray textured card stock.

It isn’t possible for me to make something without a little bling. But, I tried to keep it to a minimum.

Look at that face!!! Gorgeous. Personally, I really like Jasper’s hair in this picture. I wish it would’ve looked more like this in Twilight (the movie). I’m excited to see how he’ll look in New Moon!!

I added some Robin's Nest Dew Drops (silver). And a little silver Prima flower. I also used my new set of Spellbinders Nestabilities: Labels 4.

But of course my favorite part is a saying I saw on the internet:

Jasper: Exactly my brand of Prozac.

This kills me. Seriously. Eli Lily would have a serious problem if Jasper really existed, huh? Oh, to have the ability to calm or excite those surrounding you…that would be an awesome gift.

And of course Julie asked what I do to create that Jasper-style calm for myself. Let’s see…

1. Prozac, Paxil, Zoloft (insert your SSRI of choice here), Xanax, Valium or Buspar

2. Liquor

3. Comfort Food

4. Hot Baths

(Don’t get excited, only 4 are true…)

Big announcement coming tomorrow…don’t miss it!! P.S. Make sure to update your RSS feeds please!

Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge #26: The VOID.

10

Category : Blog Candy, Challenges, Scrapbook Pages, Twilight Tuesday Inspiration

This week, Eve chose the theme for our Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge. She chose The Void, aka “the New Moon moment.” I think everyone of us out there have had this moment. Or at least the majority of us. Especially those of us who didn’t end up with their Edward. This particular portion of the book is the most emotional of the entire series. We have a discussion going on over at TTIC if you want to join.

I got this awesome image from Elle. She is an awesome artist. You should stop over there and show her some love!

Back to my project. I did a 6” x 6” scrap layout featuring this image of Bella in the forest as she was laying there in shock over loosing Edward.

All I can think of is:

I promise that this will be the last time you’ll see me. I won’t come back. I won’t put you through anything like this again. You can go on with your life without any more interference from me. It will be as if I’d never existed.
Edward Cullen, New Moon, Chapter 3, p.71

She just keeps saying ‘He’s gone.’
Sam Uley, New Moon, Chapter 3, p.76

I have a special idea for this layout but I’ll have to share that with you later. Be sure to see the other design team’s projects:

                                Beth / Danielle / Eve / Jen / Julie / Margie / Rebecca

Also, I’ll be hosting the blog candy this month! I’ll be giving away a $15 Amazon Gift Certificate! More details to follow.
