Have yourself a merry little Christmas…

This is a semi-CASE of the beautiful card Jen made a few days ago. I was particularly struck by the beautiful coloring choices she used for this image and I just knew I wanted to do one too! Thank you for allowing me to CASE, Jen!

As you can see from the picture above, I had a hard time with my red. This image is very detailed and coloring a small one is very difficult…to me anyway!!  If I had been using my Stampin’ Write Markers, there wouldn’t have been any bleeding. I think I’ll try them on the next image I color. But the Copics blend so amazingly, it’s really hard to not use them!

I wanted my card to be really simple again. This image is Christmas Fairy from Mo’s Digital Pencil. Mo’s images are just too beautiful to add a bunch of extra fluff to! Or at least that’s the mood I’m in this week!!

I just love this image. I believe I’ll give it another shot on coloring this week. Maybe the second time will be better. I added Spicas all over this little fairy. I added Crystal Effects to the globe/bubble she’s holding. My white gel pen doesn’t cover red Copic ink very well. I think I’ll be investing in some of the Copic opaque white. I love having the white on hand for corrections. I just do not like the way the colorless blender removes red…at least…not for correcting. If anyone has some advice, I’m happy to hear it!

Again, Merry Christmas everyone! Thank you for blessing me with your friendship!
