A Little R&R
I haven’t posted in a few days so I wanted to tell you a little about what I’ve been doing. Most of you probably know I’ve had a very busy last few months with my hosting issues and creating my new store. So, I took a mini-break.
Last week, we took the kiddos to a beautiful park:
They had so much fun on this tire swing. You could here myJulie laughing and screaming her little head off. And since my son, Daniel, is now 10… it is getting rare to see him cut loose and just enjoy himself. They were so so full of joy and laughter! Days like this are good.
Then on Thursday, we headed “back home” to San Antonio for a brief visit. Actually, I was treated to a Blue October concert on Friday night.
It was super hot as San Antonio in the summer always is. I absolutely love the people of San Antonio and miss it greatly. See Justin Furstenfeld with the guyliner? He’s totally my boyfriend. He just doesn’t know it.
I plan to see Blue October when they come to Dallas too. Ole Bestie says she’s coming. I’ve not seen proof of that yet. But I sure hope it happens. Justin is super amazing in concert. The whole band is superb. Everyone of them are honest, truly caring men that totally love their fans. Hey Justin, call me!
On Saturday morning, we went to the Riverwalk and did the touristy thing and rode the boat. If you’ve never been to the San Antonio Riverwalk, you are completely missing out. I miss it so much!! Go see what you are missing with THIS LINK.
People who actually live in San Antonio don’t tend to ride the boat on the Riverwalk. My husband, mother-in-law and father-in-law had never never ridden the tour boat before I came around! Saturday was actually the first time for my MIL and FIL. That was kind of cool. They’ve lived in SA their whole lives!! My FIL is very familiar with the Riverwalk since he works (he’s retiring this month) for the city, so he’s done all kinds of work on it. But he’d never just gotten to relax and enjoy it as a tourist! That was cool. What made this trip special is, a new section has been opened on the Riverwalk. So we had to check it out! This is the only picture I got since my battery decide to die and ironically enough, so did my MIL’s!! But this is the grotto area. This is looking up in a cave hole. There is water pouring from the mouth. Isn’t it cool? At night it’s a little spooky!
Tomorrow I’ll be back to work. But until then, have you visited San Antonio? Let’s hear about it!!
