Stamping with my sister
Today I did a little stamping with my sister. I seemed to have misplaced my creativity again so I didn’t get much accomplished. I had intended to make a bunch of smaller 4 x4″ cards for my sister to take to the rehabilitation center (i.e. nursing home) where she works for the patients. I didn’t get that accomplished, but I intend to make a handful a week for her. The residents adore getting cards and my sister is really kind-hearted with a special passion for the elderly. Guess what else? I finally got her signed up on SCS!! WHOO HOO!
This will be her first card in her gallery:
I did not have very good lighting so bare with me..
She made this card for one of her friends returning from vacation (or leaving for it? Guess I’m not a very good sister because I don’t remember which she said.)
Isn’t it cute?
That’s Shimmerz on the sun. I know it is hard to see but I’m telling you, this stuff is absolutely the most amazing stuff!
Check out that popsicle! It is made from 3 (!!) layers of card stock. The image was stamped three times. Once on So Saffron, again on Whisper White, and finally on retired VELLUM that I can’t remember the name of. That vellum over the WW is absolutely delicious IRL.
The umbrella and chair were both stamped on Summer Picnic designer paper and cut out–then placed on Very Vanilla card stock. The flowers and stripe of the chair were colored with SU! watercolor pencils. The rest of the chair was also colored using those wcps.
Here’s the little gem I made. Nothing fancy…I told ya…my mojo is playing hide and seek with me!
This is a 4 x 4″ square using Basic Black, Pumpking Pie, and retired dp. I used some Kiwi Kiss and black ribbon along with an embellishment from my stash.
My husband is still feeling badly so I have to be quick. Nothing like a sick man…needs lots of attention! *wink* See ya tomorrow…

I LOVE how both cards turned out!
How great that you get to stamp with your sis!
Lucky you!!!
Kindly,
~Eve
Hey sweetie — stamping with your sister sounds so fun! Her card is awesome — as is yours! Don’t sell yourself short! You may feel like your mojo is not all there, but you are still doing excellent work. Your Halloween card is great. Did you use the curly punch on that one? I LOVE that shape. (I do know that missing mojo feeling though, and those days when the trash pile just keeps growing and growing and nothing to show for it…)
If you want to, and your sister wants to, share the link to her gallery and we’ll start getting those comments going!
I’m looking forward to Twilight Tuesday! Any excuse to focus (more) on Twilight is good.
Talk to you later — have a great day!
Julie
Amazing. I love the Halloween one. It’s understated and it works. I really like the simplicity. don’t underestimate your-self. you’ve still got it.
That first card is so cool!! Very creative and I love all the details on it! Really cute!!!
