Girl Power!
I went to Michaels last night and saw these cute little foamies (no, I do not know the technical name). Now I’m usually not a fan of foamies. Occasionally, I’ll buy some in a craft kit for the kids but not for my own crafting…but these practically jumped out and screamed “Just Jawing” at me!! More specifically…they screamed BESTIE!!! And so I just had to get them.
The only problem is, now I have a ton of these little things and nothing really to do with them. Maybe I’ll send them to Beth.
No shock here… the base is a 5 1/4″ square card. You know what is shocking? I used Pink Passion CS for the base! I haven’t used Pink Passion in forever!! Then I layered a piece of Basic Black CS and 2 pieces of Ghostly Greetings designer paper. That pink ribbon is retired and I put black gingham on top of it.
I stamped the skull on a piece of Whisper White CS. I outlined the skull in Bashful Blue for added depth to my white. I used Crystal Effects and pink fine cosmo glitter for the eyes. Speaking of Crystal Effects…my daughter has a cute little heart shaped ponytail holder with little gems in it. She brought it to me complaining because the gems were falling out. She brought me all but one that had fallen out. You know what I did? I put CE in the holes, popped those little gems back in and those suckers are not moving now!! Am I Wonder Mom or what??
I also added a Filigree designer brad and a pink rhinestone circle. Everything is SU! except the foamies I bought at Michaels.
Oh, and let me tell you!! I am super excited about the Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge this week!! Beth has issued the challenge and I finished my projects today. And let me just say…one of the items I created, will result in a tutorial on Wednesday!!

Current obsession: getting organized and better prepared for crops; and finding a new stampin angel!!! My dear friend Jeanie Pryor shared your info and blog with me. As you know, we are looking for a new SU distributor and idea angel. Well looks to us that we have found her!!!
Love stampin’ projects, but passion for stampin on scrapbook pages. Was in a group for a couple of years in California and really miss the ideas. She had a scrapbook class once a month and we made 4 2-page layouts. She charged $30 per class and we just rotated between four tables at our own pace. Think she charged $20 for 6X6 or was it 7X7 page set. She did really well and her classes were always packed. She held on a weekday from 9:30a.m. til we were done.
In my perfect world, I would like to have a day class and 1 evening class with my stampin angel each month. 2x per month would be more satisfying I think.
Yet, in the real world…if we could stamp a few cards and project each month and then give me some idea sheets or e-mail each month for my scrapbooking…
Don’t know if the other girls want to focus on scapbooking or paper crafting? We will have to discuss it this weekend. Oh, did I mention that I live in Plano, but most of my friends live in Denton and Lewisville area.
You might want to come by the scrapbook store in Denton this Saturday and meet a few of us and discus some club options. Jeanie, Dawn and I will have a table there during Kim’s scrapbook garage sale. Check the hours with Jeanie!
Awesome! I love this card!!!
Diggin’ on those foamies, too… I’ll have to keep my eyes out for them here! *wink*
I love this Tonya!! xx
I absolutely LOVE this card! You are just so creative.
